Dendritic Monoprinting is a technique where you basically squish paint between two pieces of glass, and then pull them apart slowly and print off of the glass. You get mirror images, one from each piece of glass. You can use Plexiglas or any rigid clear plastic, but the pattern will be different than if you use glass.
I have only done a few so far and only with glass. I am not sure how I will use them, but I am only showing below the best of my first try. I think some of them will be cut up and used in collage. I will post what I do with them as I use them. Over all, a lot of fun.
I did notice that you get a better (more dendritic) print if your paint is not laid on too thick. It is also fun to put dots of paint and squish them into circles like I did on the black paper.
I also noticed that my best prints were on card stock.
I learned about this by watching a couple of videos by Cat Hand. If you are interested check her out.
